Bill Hope
ADVISOR
After graduating with Honours from the University of WA Bill Hope worked in Operations Research and IT for the State Energy Commission and Alcoa before moving to the UK to work for British Aerospace on satellites. He subsequently joined the Australian Satellite System (Aussat) and was based in the USA and Sydney. In 1989 he was given overall responsibility for Aussat space systems.

After Optus purchased Aussat he took on various roles in the new Telecommunications company becoming their CTO in 1997. In 2000 he was recruited by Singtel as their EVP Networks based in Singapore. After Singtel purchased Optus in 2002 he relocated to Sydney and retired in 2007 as the EVP Networks Singapore and Managing Director Networks Optus with overall responsibility for all Australian and Singapore network activities.

Subsequently he has undertaken aerospace and telecommunications consultancies and several Board positions.
